A utility company's project to put up new power lines over Route 29 caused road closures throughout the day on Sunday.
Rappahannock Electric Cooperative had to stop traffic in Greene County to string those lines across the highway.
For about five hours, workers used rope and heavy equipment to complete the project.
The Greene County Sheriff's Office blocked Route 29 both ways in 10-20 minute intervals, but the work didn't cause too much of a jam.
The workers added seven new power lines to supply new development in Greene and Albemarle Counties.
