CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -

The University of Virginia is gearing up for arguably the biggest men's basketball game of the season.

The team is hosting Syracuse in Charlottesville Saturday afternoon with hopes of taking home the ACC regular season title.

Every seat is expected to be filled with excited fans at this last home game. Tickets for the game have been sold out for more than three months. UVA athletics says they sold their last ticket back on November 25.

Students like some of the student fan group the Hoo Crew are planning to camp out in front of the arena Friday night to show their die-hard support for the team.

"This is the biggest game in the history of John Paul Jones Arena," said Haider Arshad, president of the Hoo Crew.

More than 15,000 people are expected to fill the stands of the arena in the face-off against Syracuse. UVA athletics says they expect the atmosphere to be electric in celebration of the team's solid season.

“Anyone that's seen this team play knows what a team effort it truly is and to hopefully be able to help these guys win this last home game, clench the regular season ACC title, and somewhat end the home schedule here at JPJ with a bang is really exciting,” said Todd Goodale of UVA Athletics.

Even though box office tickets are sold out, online sales through secondary vendors are soaring. Depending on the site, prices range between a couple hundred to more than a thousand dollars for a single ticket.

"It's the supply and demand factor," Goodale said. "Obviously we're not in the ticket business with this game with our ticket office but we pay attention to the stories we hear and what you can see on the secondary market."

UVA will be honoring the three seniors of this men's basketball team on the court before the game starts. Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday.

"Students want to celebrate. It's been a fun year," Arshad said. "By no means is this year over no matter what happens tomorrow, but if we can bring home an ACC title, it'd be awesome."
