London Perrantes was 4-for-4 from behind the arc against Miami
The #12 Virginia men's basketball team won its 12th game in a row Wednesday night, as the Cavaliers beat Miami 65-40 at John Paul Jones Arena.
UVa (24-5, 15-1 ACC) held the Hurricanes to 26.1% shooting from the floor.
Miami made just 12-of-46 shots overall, and was 0-for-12 on three-point attempts.
Malcolm Brogdon and London Perrantes each scored 15 points for the 'Hoos, while Joe Harris added eleven.
Perrantes went 5-for-5 from the floor, including 4-for-4 from behind the three-point arc.
As soon as the game against Miami ended, all the talk turned to the match-up against #4 Syracuse Saturday.
"We can finally talk about it now there's nobody in our way," says Perrantes. "It's going to be a great atmosphere for the game. It's nothing different other than their defense. These last couple games we've been playing a lot of zone and preparing for it.
Brogdon says, "You have to think this is a very good team, It's one of the best teams in the country. You go into the game knowing that, and knowing that we're very good, and thinking we're supposed to win this game."
Head coach Tony Bennett adds, "To be in this spot, that's terrific. We're at our place, and we know we'll have to do certain things well, but the formula doesn't change for us, just because there's so much excitement around it. We're not going to be different. We're just going to be as good as we can."
Virginia will host Syracuse Saturday at four o'clock.
