VMI Upsets #1 Ranked Virginia Baseball 3-2

The #1 ranked UVa baseball team managed just six hits in a 3-2 loss to VMI Tuesday afternoon at Davenport Field.   The loss snapped Virginia's six game win streak.

Mike Papi and Derek Fisher each had a pair of hits.  Papi had a solo home run in the third inning and scored both Wahoo runs.

VMI scored two runs in the fourth inning, one on a squeeze bunt the other on throw to first that couldn't be handled.

VMI added a big insurance run in the top of the eight on an Brandon Angus RBI single off Connor Jones.

Virginia begins a 3-game series with Monmouth starting on Friday.
