Medicaid expansion doesn't sit well with former House of Delegates member and current U.S. Congressman Eric Cantor.
Cantor says any expansion of the Affordable Care Act is a bad move for Virginia. He doubts Virginia government will shut down over the issue, but says it's up to lawmakers and the governor to work together.
“I'm hopeful that the newly installed Democratic Governor McAuliffe will be a lot more open to discussion than what we had with the White House in Washington,” he said.
Like other Republicans, Cantor worries the federal government will not be able to follow through on its promise to cover the majority of healthcare expansion costs.
