UVA Football Strength & Conditioning Coach Leaving for the NFL

UVA football Director of Football Training and Player Development coach Evan Marcus is leaving the Cavaliers to become the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach with the Minnesota Vikings.

Marcus spent the last three years at Virginia, and the stretch from 2011-2013 was his second stint with the program.

Marcus coached at UVa from 2003-2006 before moving to the NFL with Atlanta (2007) and Miami (2008-10).

Evan Marcus started in the NFL as the assistant strength coach with the New Orleans Saints (2000-02).

He held assistant strength and conditioning posts on the collegiate level at Arizona State (1991-92), Rutgers (1993), Maryland (1994), Texas (1995-97) and Louisville (1998-99).
