Council Considers Giving Waynesboro Schools Last Year's Unspent Funds

WAYNESBORO, Va (WVIR) -

The Waynesboro School Board could be getting last year's unspent money to help with this year's budget shortfall.

Enrollment is Waynesboro Public Schools is down - which means fewer dollars than expected. Monday night, Waynesboro City Council considered giving the schools back more than $96,000 in an unspent budget fund balance.

A second consideration will be made at the February 24 meeting.
