Cville Restaurant's "Steak out for Charity" to Benefit PACEM in February
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
One Charlottesville restaurant is selling steaks at a reduced price to benefit an area shelter for the homeless this month.
Sedona Taphouse located on Millmont Street hosts its "Steak Out for Charity" every Monday night. For just $5, customers get an eight-ounce flat iron steak with garlic whipped potatoes. One dollar of each order this month will go to the "People and Congregations Engaged in Ministry" – or PACEM.
“We love our local charities. They've been a huge support. Every one of them that we have dealt with in the past has turned into regular guests, friends now that just come in to support us because we supported them,” said Steven Pippin, Sedona Taphouse manager.
The meal normally costs $15.
Sedona Taphouse has donated to a different charity every month since it opened in late June.
