Blog Makes Wish List of Presidential Fixes for Cville
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
With President Barack Obama set to visit Monticello on Monday, one Charlottesville entertainment website is sharing a wish list of eight things the president should fix during his visit.
The list was posted by Scoutology.com, an online blog dedicated to food, drinks, and music in Charlottesville.
Though the article was meant to be a fun look at perceived problems in the area, its authors hope the list gets you thinking about ways to make the city better.
Here’s the list:
- Lower the cost of living - More public parking off the downtown mall - Fix the traffic pattern around the Shops at Stonefield - Finish the Meadow Creek Parkway - Find a permanent home for our beloved City Market - Make Charlottesville transportation more consistent and reliable - Make the Landmark Hotel nightmare go away - Solve the bowling alley problem
If you didn’t know Charlottesville has a bowling alley problem, Scoutology says since we all don’t have one in our basement like the President does at the White House, one should be opened up south of Barracks Road.
Scoutology.com president Jerry Miller said, “If we have some influence and we have some reach, and we are passionate about Charlottesville, why don’t we use this influence and reach to make Charlottesville better?”
