Jefferson Area CHIP representatives are asking lawmakers to help restore some of their funding lost after the recession.
“It would just mean more of these vulnerable families would have access to these services. Right now we're not able to meet all of the needs that there are in the community,” said Molly Fulton, development director for Jefferson Area CHIP.
Jefferson Area CHIP is optimistic its request will appeal to leaders on both sides of the aisle. The group is one of hundreds of organizations making the trip to Richmond this session to engage with lawmakers.
