You can speak out on the proposed $19.6 million budget for Madison County Public Schools at a public hearing Monday night.
The tentative version calls for a $1 million increase over the current budget and includes a 2 percent pay hike for school staff.
The county superintendent presented the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year on January 13, and a school board work session was held to discuss the plan last Thursday.
The hearing is set for 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium.
