William & Mary edged JMU 81-79 Sunday despite the Dukes twice fighting back from double-digit deficits.
The Dukes fall to 8-14 overall and 3-5 in the CAA.
Blue Ridge graduate, Andrey Semenov had a season-high 23 points, eight rebounds and three assists for one of his best games of the season for JMU. The graduate student was 5-for-8 from the arc and 8-for-8 at the line.
JMU put together a season-high 16 assists and a season-low seven turnovers. The Dukes led the Tribe in rebounds 32-25 and gained a 22-11 advantage in points scored off of 15 W&M turnovers.
The Dukes will travel to second ranked Towson Tuesday at 7 p.m.
