The #14 Virginia women's tennis team beat VCU 6-1 Friday at the Boar's Head Sports Club.

The Cavaliers won the doubles point, and sophomore Stephanie Nauta made it a 2-0 lead at #4 singles with a 6-2, 6-0 win.

Freshman Rachel Pierson won 6-1, 6-2 in #3 singles, sophomore Julia Nauta captured #1 singles 6-1, 6-2, and freshman Maci Epstein took #5 singles 6-1, 6-4.

Sophomore Danielle Collins closed out the match with a 6-4, 6-4 win at #2 singles.

UVa (2-0) will host South Carolina Sunday at noon.
