Augusta United Way Accepting Proposals from Nonprofits
AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) -
Valley nonprofits have a chance to get their hands on thousands of dollars through the United Way of Greater Augusta.
Organizations serving Staunton, Augusta County and Waynesboro that wish to apply should start thinking about submitting their proposals for consideration. Applicants must attend one of the information sessions on February 14.
The United Way focuses on boosting groups that contribute to education, income and health.
"This is the way we distribute funds in order to give it to those nonprofits with feet on the ground, doing the hard work day in and day out, and this helps support them,” said Cynthia Pritchard, CEO of the United Way of Greater Augusta.
You must reserve spots at one of the seminars at least a day ahead of time. Nonprofits have the chance to bring in anywhere from $1,000 to $30,000 for their cause.
