Albemarle County is sending 2014 reassessment notices to taxpayers this week.
Overall, the change in the county's total fair market value is up by 1.28 percent from last year.
Here's how it splits out: residential properties of less than an acre are up 1.98 percent and larger residential lots - smaller than 20 acres - are up four-tenths of a percent.
Rural properties between 20 and 100 acres are down fourteen-one-hundredths of a percent and commercial property assessments are up 3.64 percent.
