Hotwire.com says a computer problem is to blame for a Nelson County woman's Thanksgiving travel debacle.
Karen Asher's holiday plans went out the window when she showed up at the Charlottesville Albemarle Airport to find out the plane she booked would not be on the tarmac. She says when she tried to get a straight answer, neither United Airlines nor Hotwire would accept responsibility.
But shortly after NBC29’s original story on the issue aired, Asher received a phone call from a Hotwire representative. The company says because of computer issues, Asher's updated flight information never made it into their system. Hotwire apologized for the inconvenience and offered a $200 credit for future bookings.
