CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
The Charlottesville Waldorf School opened its doors for an interactive open house on campus Saturday.
The Windows on Waldorf event featured tours and events in different classrooms to give prospective families an idea of what the school is all about.
Science experiments, puppet shows, and math lessons were held to show off some of the school's unique techniques.
“We offer a lot of movement, so that when we're doing a math lesson, we're also having the children move,” said administrator Michelle Schlesinger. “It really helps integrate the lesson and help them really learn the material from a variety of different ways.”
The school consists of about 160 students from the nursery level through the eighth grade.
