Albemarle School Board Approves Agnor-Hurt Renovation Plan
The Albemarle County School Board unanimously approved moving forward with the Agnor-Hurt Elementary renovation plan Thursday night.
The proposed classroom additions will help provide relief from overcrowding. The project will also do away with traditional desks and walls separating classrooms. Instead, classes will have open teaching rooms for interactive learning.
Construction is expected to begin this June, with the goal of finishing by the start of the 2015 - 2016 school year. The project will cost nearly $5 million.
