The Charlottesville man convicted of raping a teenage girl at a party in 2012 will spend the next 20 years behind bars. Police say Manneh Vay assaulted a teenage girl during a party on Wertland Street in the early morning hours of September 23, 2012.
A judge sentenced Vay, 23, to 20 years Thursday afternoon. He was convicted of abduction, rape and sodomy.
A jury convicted him in October of last year and recommended a 30-year sentence.
