UPDATE 1/31/13:  Missing Augusta County Man Found

Augusta County Sheriff's Office Press Release:

On January 2, a missing person report was filed with this agency for Matthew Jason Biggs. Biggs was last seen in Verona and numerous leads were followed up on in regards to Biggs' location. 

Unified Police Department in Utah encountered Biggs Thursday night. Biggs advised that he had hitchhiked to Utah.

UPDATE 01/28/2014:  Police Still Searching for Missing Augusta County Man

An Augusta County man is still missing after nearly a month.

Matthew Jason Biggs, 34, has yet to be found according to the Augusta County Sheriff's Office. Investigators say countless leads have come in, but they've had no luck tracking down the man who may need medical help due to mental health issues.

Biggs is six feet, two inches, weighs 180 pounds and has brown hair and green eyes.

The Augusta County Sheriff's Office is attempting to locate the following missing endangered adult:

Matthew Jason Biggs white male hgt - 6'2, wgt – 180, hair – brown, eyes - green, subject does have a beard. Matt is 34 years old; he is very active and likes to hike and camp.

Matt was last seen in Verona on 1/2/2014, he has no means of transportation nor a cell phone.

Matt has depression and some mental health issues and may need medical help.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of Matt or has seen him please contact the Augusta County Sheriff's Office at 540-245-5333.
