Harrisonburg Police Investigate Commercial Burglaries

Harrisonburg Police Department Press Release 

On December 27, 2013 officers from the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to three businesses in the area of the 1600-block of East Market Street and Burgess Road to investigate reports of commercial burglaries. The offenses appear to have taken place between the hours of 12:00AM and 2:30AM. The offender in these cases committed property damage and stole items from inside the businesses.

This set of offenses was completed by what appears to be one individual. HPD has received several surveillance images of the suspect, which are included with this release. The suspect appears to be approximately 5'8 and heavyset. The suspect was last seen wearing a tan jacket, jeans, tan boots, and a black beanie.

This is an active investigation and the Harrisonburg Police Department requests that anyone with information pertaining to the case contact the Criminal Investigations Division at (540) 437- 2640.

Anyone with additional information, who wishes to remain anonymous, is asked to call Crime Solvers at 540-574-5050. Tipsters may also text "HPD" plus the tip to CRIMES (274637). Residents can also access information about crimes in the area at www.crimereports.com.
