A poll out Tuesday from Roanoke College shows Virginians are split over a major political issue in the General Assembly.
About a third of those surveyed support the expansion of Medicaid coverage immediately, with another third saying expansion should only happen once reforms are implemented.
One in four people oppose any sort of expansion. And early numbers in the race for Senate put Democratic incumbent Mark Warner up almost 30 points over Republican Ed Gillespie.
Gillespie, one of three men seeking the Republican nomination, is still relatively unknown to most Virginians.
