The UVa baseball team has five guys named Preseason All-American by PerfectGame.  That's more than any other college baseball team.

Pitcher and short stop Nick Howard along with outfielder Derek Fisher were both named first-team All-American.

Mike Papi, Branden Cogswell, and Brandon Downes were named second-team All-American.

Fisher ranks as the nation's number-6 college prospect.  He batted .293 last season with 7 Home runs and 48 RBI

Howard is listed as UVa's number-3 pitcher but he could be Virginia's most talented pitcher.   He batted .323 last years with 3 home runs and 38 RBI.    He had a 3.38 ERA on the mound

Virginia plays its season opener against Kentucky in Wilmington, NC on February 14th.
