Just two months ago the city of Waynesboro was considering getting rid of knuckleboom trash pickup but Monday night, City Council took a step toward continuing it.
After complaints of trash building up, council was looking at getting rid of its large refuse collection. But a public hearing persuaded council to change its tune.
A consent agenda item was approved Monday night to set aside $122,000 to buy a knuckleboom truck.
