2 Morning Crashes Cause Delays on I-64 in Albemarle

Two crashes just miles away from each other on Interstate 64 in Albemarle County caused some major delays on Monday morning.

The first accident happened near the Route 29 interchange. Virginia State Police say a tractor-trailer hit a minivan. The driver of the minivan was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center with minor injuries.

The second accident occurred on I-64 near the Ivy exit. Police say a car rear-ended a pickup truck. The passenger in the car was also transported to UVA Medical Center with minor injuries.
