The Earned Income Tax Credit Coalition, put together by the United Way, will begin offering free tax preparation assistance next week.
The services will be offered at 11 different locations.
A household income of less than $52,000 in 2013 qualifies a family for the free assistance.
“We're hoping they will use to pay down debts, you know put away into savings, a down payment on a car, whatever it takes to keep themselves sufficient,” says Kim Connolly of the United Way.
