The Virginia Film Festival's winning documentary about a group of women arm wrestlers in Charlottesville is going on a nationwide tour.
The film's title, “CLAW”, stands for the Collective of Lady Arm Wrestlers.
The women started arm wrestling at the Blue Moon Diner on West Main Street about five years ago to support local charities.
The documentary's directors have been invited to show it in cities across the U.S.
“Boston invited us, Chicago invited us,” director Brian Wimer says. “We are going to bring it to D.C., to New Orleans and all of these places are incredible venues.”
Before the tour begins, there will be another screening of “CLAW” in Charlottesville Saturday, January 18.
Tickets are going fast.
