It's commonplace in the workforce to get a performance review, but for some of Augusta County's leaders that's not happening.
The new chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Larry Wills, is proposing board members be reviewed, as well as four employees who work directly for the board: the fire chief, the economic development director, the county attorney and the county administrator.
"Every employee deserves an evaluation to know where they are on their job, whether they're doing it properly, whether they're meeting the expectations. At this time the board had no specific evaluation process,” Wills said.
Also on the chair's agenda are updates and reviews of the county's five-year fire and rescue plan, its strategic business plan and the comprehensive plan.
