The Madison County Board of Supervisors has a new chairman Friday. Doris Lackey was voted in Thursday night at the first board meeting of the new year.
Lackey won the vote four to one, with Supervisor Bill Campbell abstaining from the vote. Supervisor Kevin McGhee was also nominated, but he declined.
Supervisor Clay Jackson was the sole nominee for vice chairman. He won with a unanimous vote from the board.
