The James Madison men's and women's basketball team both picked up wins in Harrisonburg Monday night.
The JMU men defeated Ball State 73-68, while the women topped Norfolk State 94-50 to win the JMU Invitational.
Senior Kirby Burkholder scored 22 points for the Dukes, after being named the CAA Conference Player of the Week for the third time this season earlier in the day.
Five different played scored in double figures for JMU.
Madison has won five of its last six games to improve to 10-3 on the season.
The men were playing at home for just the second time all season, and the first time in over a month Monday.
Charles Cooke led JMU (5-9) with 20 points, four assists, and six steals.
Ron Curry had 17 points, while Andrey Semenov chipped in sixteen.
