Piedmont Council for the Arts Press Release

Please join The Piedmont Council for the Arts as we celebrate the creation of Charlottesville's first ever Cultural Plan, which is the work of over 1,000 community members. The celebration will be held in the main theater of The Paramount on Monday, January 13, starting at 5:00 p.m., giving everyone the chance to learn more about the Cultural Plan while also providing an opportunity to meet and speak with many of the key participants. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served to the sounds of live jazz provided by John D'Earth from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., followed by a presentation about the Cultural Plan at 6:00pm.

The goal of the Cultural Plan is to promote diversity and inclusiveness in the community's arts, creative place making, and cultural infrastructure. To see a PDF of the plan click here: Cultural Plan PDF

We hope you can be on hand to learn more about this exciting artistic undertaking within our community, as Charlottesville's first-ever Cultural Plan is unveiled.
