Charlottesville Police Investigate Shooting on Charlton Ave.
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
CHARLOTTESVILLE POLICE PRESS RELEASE:
On Friday evening, December 27 at approx. 11:00 p.m., officers were called to the 900 block of Charlton Ave to investigate a reported shots fired call.
On the scene officers began canvasing the neighborhood for information or victim. While officers were in the area of Charlton, a 20-year-old male arrived at the University of Virginia Medical Center, the victim of a gunshot wound. The victim had driven himself to the hospital. His injuries were non-life threatening.
Investigators determined the shots were fired at the victim from roadside striking the 20-year-old male driver.
Our agency currently has no suspects in this case and we are asking for the community’s assistance.
