FLUVANNA COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - Seven of the Fluvanna SPCA’s 12 Strays of Christmas are still looking for a home this holiday season.

Two dogs and five cats are still up for adoption through the 12 Strays Initiative.

The animals were chosen because, for one reason or another, they've spent a lot of time at the no-kill shelter.

Some are a little older or have special health needs, but shelter directors say they each deserve a loving home.

“We're also just trying to get animals home for the holidays, to get them out of the shelter, and to get them into a good, loving home,” says executive director Jennie Shuklis. “It's a way to highlight it and get people's attention.”

Anyone interested in adopting one of the seven strays can swing by the shelter and meet them.
