Orange County Commonwealth's Attorney Named to Advisory Committee

Orange County’s commonwealth's attorney will be taking on a new role in the state.  Governor Bob McDonnell has appointed Diana Wheeler to the Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice.

The committee advises the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice and other law enforcement groups on matters dealing with the prevention and treatment of juvenile delinquency, as well as review grant funding for juvenile justice programs.

Governor Bob McDonnell today announced additional appointments to three Virginia boards and commissions. Further announcements regarding additional appointments in the McDonnell Administration will continue to be made in the weeks ahead.

Board Appointments:

Advisory Committee on Juvenile Justice:

  • Craig Branch of Chesterfield, Chief of Police for Germanna Community College
  • Steven S. Kast of Chesapeake, President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Club of the Virginia Peninsula
  • Diana Harris Wheeler of Orange, Commonwealth's Attorney for Orange County

Fair Housing Board:

  • Erica Woods-Warrior of Hampton, Director of the Peer Educator Program at Old Dominion University
Board of Veterans Services:
  • Colonel J. Patrick Murray, USA (Ret.) of Alexandria
