Charlottesville fire crews who had to work on Christmas made the best of the holiday, holding a potluck feast complete with turkey, ham, potatoes, and sweet corn.
Firefighters work 24 hour shifts and think of their co-workers as their family.
Firefighter Cedric Whindleton, said, "It feels good coming to our other family and having, I mean it feels like we're at home when we come to work, and having Christmas dinner like usually."
The crews take shifts working the holidays each year but some members volunteer so they can take part in the festivities.
