The Virginia men's basketball team beat Northern Iowa 57-43 Saturday at John Paul Jones Arena.
UVa snaps a two game losing streak and improves to 8-3 with the victory.
Justin Anderson led the Wahoos with 16 points, while Joe Harris had 12 points and seven rebounds.
"There's nothing we were doing wrong offensively," said Harris. "We weren't really worried about it because our defense was doing well enough that it was keeping us in the game. We knew that our offense in the second half that things were going to get going for us. We just didn't doubt what we were doing. Kept shooting the same shots we were getting and trying to be aggressive out there and not losing confidence."
Darion Atkins had eight points, five rebounds, and five blocks.
Head coach Tony Bennett said,"it wasn't pretty, it wasn't pretty for a while. It was low scoring with a little spurt there and I thought the second half, we played better on both, well yeah on both ends of the floor we did."
Virginia will be back in action Monday, as they host Norfolk State at 7PM.
