Some Charlottesville elementary students took a stand against bullying Wednesday. They performed at Jackson-Via Elementary School's annual "Bully-Not" show.
During the show, students sing, dance and act out skits about acceptance and inclusion. Normally, students are selected to join the performance - but this year it was open to the entire fourth grade.
"It actually takes a lot of courage to be a 'Bully-Not' because when people bully you need to have the courage to stand up for your friend and yourself," said Karen Bernardo, a fourth-grade student
The school's guidance counselor started the show six years ago. She says back then, teachers provided the songs. Now, the show is so popular students create their own performances.
