A Barboursville man is in custody because police say he was running a meth lab.
Orange County sheriff's deputies arrested 40-year-old Toby Joseph Sykes on Tuesday.
The deputies worked with the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force at 4266 Scuffletown Road, where they say they found and collected hazardous material.
Sykes faces several charges including having the ingredients to make meth, and other charges are on the way.

On 12-16-13, Investigators with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force concluded an investigation of a meth lab in the Barboursville area at 4266 Scuffletown Rd.
The conclusion of the investigation netted the arrest of Toby Joseph Sykes, age 40. With the assistance of the Virginia State Police Drug Enforcement Section, evidence was collected and hazardous material items were secured.
Mr. Sykes was subsequently arrested for numerous charges to include, possession of precursors with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, driving while revoked, along with two other misdemeanor charges related to the vehicle registration.
