The UVa women's basketball team got a career-high 22 points from sophomore guard Faith Randolph leading the 'Hoos to a 81-46 win over Maryland-Eastern Shore Tuesday night at JPJ.
The Wahoo win snapped a 4-game losing skid. Senior Ataira Franklin was the only other Virginia player who scored in double figures with 11. Lexie Gerson had 9 points and 10 rebounds.
Coach Joanne Boyle said, "Great team win, different combinations we were able to use out there, a lot of youth out there at times but they got after it. I thought Tiff did a real good job pushing it and getting easy shots for people, I thought Faith shot the ball well, Raeshawn played well, we were just in attack mode."
Randolph said, "Tiff would penetrate, I'd be there on the kick-out, they were finding me really well, all my shots were in rhythm, it felt good."
Virginia improves to 4-5 with the win. The 'Hoos will play Tulane on Friday in Fort Myers, FL as part of the Hilton Garden Inn/Homewood Suites Classic Tournament.
