Cville Group to Hold Health Insurance Enrollment Help Sessions
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
A lunchtime series in central Virginia aims to clear up confusion about enrolling in so-called "Obamacare" with the first deadline one week away.
The CvilleEnrolls group is hosting the midday sessions to answer 10 questions about the Affordable Care Act in 10 minutes. Questions range from what kind of financial aid is available to penalties imposed for people who don't sign up.
The deadline is next Monday to apply for insurance coverage starting January 1, 2014.
"A lot of folks have been going online directly, getting their accounts set up, getting success getting through, and now they have questions about their eligibility and they want help looking at plans," said Jessie Ray of the Greater Charlottesville Community Health Coalition.
The lunchtime talks run every day through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at branches of the Jefferson Madison Regional Library system.
