UVa Commit Andrew Brown & OSHS Fall 35-6 to Centreville in State Final

One of Virginia football's prized commitments strolled into Charlottesville Saturday afternoon for the Virginia 6A State Championship.

Five-star defensive tackle Andrew Brown and his team, Oscar Smith High School, fell 35-6 to Centreville high school at Scott Stadium.

Brown had four tackles and two assists on the day.

"It just didn't turn out the way we wanted it to," said Brown. "They weren't physically better than us. They just schemed well and they got the best of us out there."

Centreville avenged its loss to OSHS in the 2011 state final.

Oscar Smith finishes the season 14-1 with its third state championship game appearance since 2008.

Centreville finished 15-0 overall and won its second state title.
