ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WVIR) - A map drawn by Thomas Jefferson himself was auctioned off with a big price tag in Albemarle County Saturday.

A phone bidder in Saturday's auction at Quinn and Farmer snatched up the map for $30,000.

The minimum bid was set at $4,000.

The sketch shows the Morven Estate, a property just past President James Monroe's Ash Lawn-Highland.
