Firefighters Rescue Three From Blaze in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va (WVIR) - Firefighters rescued three people from inside an Albemarle County condominium blaze Saturday morning.

The fire started just before 8:00 at the Turtle Creek Condominiums near Hydraulic Road. It broke out in the closet and bedroom of a downstairs condo.

People who live inside the complex were evacuated.  A man, woman, and a child were taken out by a ladder truck. No one was injured.

The Albemarle County fire marshal estimates the damage at more than $80,000.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
