Issues Spotted in Study of High School in Staunton
Robert E. Lee High School
STAUNTON, Va (WVIR) -
Things are moving forward on proposals to renovate Robert E. Lee High School in Staunton. The construction firm doing the ongoing study on the building spotted numerous issues with the facilities.
Representatives brought up the weak points at Monday night’s school board meeting. Many of the problems they've identified were the same ones raised by the community.
"They have noted that, as we might expect, a building that was built in the ’60s has some challenges, particularly with electricity, HV/AC, plumbing, those sorts of things,” said Staunton Superintendent Linda Reviea.
The final report, which would include all kinds of plans of action and cost estimates, is expected to come out in February.
