Virginia Tech Accepts Bid to Sun Bowl; Will Face #17 UCLA

The Virginia Tech football team has accepted a bid to play #17 UCLA in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, on December 31st.
The Hokies (8-4, 5-3 ACC) will be playing in a bowl game for the 21st year in a row, which is the second-longest streak in the nation (Florida State - 32 straight)
The Bruins finished in second place in the Pac-12 South Division with a record of 9-3 during the regular season.
Tech made its first and only appearance in the Sun Bowl in 1947, losing 18-6 against Cincinnati in the Hokies' first-ever bowl game.
The ACC placed an NCAA record eleven teams in bowl games.
Florida State will play Auburn in the BCS National Title game.
Clemson (Orange), Duke (Chick-fil-A), Miami (Russell Athletic), UNC (Belk), Georgia Tech (Music City), Boston College (AdvoCare V100), Maryland (Military), Pitt (Little Caesar's), and Syracuse (Texas) also received bids.
Virginia Tech and UCLA will kickoff December 31st at 2pm in El Paso.
