Charlottesville Waldorf School Holds 29th Annual Holiday Bazaar
CWS Holiday Bazaar
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va (WVIR) -
Nearly 1,000 people got to do some holiday shopping and benefit a Charlottesville school at the same time on Saturday.
The Charlottesville Waldorf School held its 29th annual Holiday Bazaar on the school's campus.
About 30 vendors set up shop to sell items, including hand-knit toys, beeswax candles, and jewelry.
“We feel like we're kind of the best kept secret in town,” says CWS administrator Michelle Schlesinger. “We love the education that we're providing for our children and this is a chance to give people in the community a chance to see what we're about.”
Kids of all ages were also able to enjoy activities such as shopping for gifts in a "secret garden" without parents.
The bazaar is the school's biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year's sales brought in about $25,000.
