Police have confirmed a body found in Lynchburg has been identified by the medical examiner's office as missing woman Jamisha Gilbert.
Gilbert disappeared the night of Friday, November 29. Her wrecked car was found not far from where the body was discovered in a wooded area near Route 460 and Concord Turnpike.

This is an update regarding the missing person investigation involving Jamisha Gilbert of Lynchburg.
The Roanoke Medical Examiner's office has positively identified the deceased female located in the area of Concord Turnpike and Rt. 460 as being the missing female from Lynchburg, Jamisha Gilbert.
