Staunton Augusta Art Center Holds ‘Art for Gifts’ Event

Posted: Updated:

If you're looking to buy that special person in your life a one-of-a-kind gift, the Staunton Augusta Art Center is holding its annual Art for Gifts event. Seventy artists have their work for sale at the center in downtown Staunton.

The art is juried and includes jewelry, prints, ornaments and more. Director Beth Hodge says many of the artists are finding ways to repurpose materials.

"They're ‘upcycling,’ or recycling or completely transforming one material into something else that's very functional and very beautiful,” Hodge said.

Art for Gifts is available through the end of December. All art is 10 percent off the week between Christmas and New Year’s.
