Crowds came out to Keswick Hall in Albemarle County Sunday for the 8th annual tree lighting event.
Guests enjoyed caroling by the Jeffersonland Barbershop Chorus, hot chocolate, and visits with Santa Claus.
They also got to check out Keswick Hall's Christmas decorations, including giant gingerbread houses.
For those who wanted to stay toasty, there was holiday classic piano music playing inside the hall.
“It really is just about reaching out to the community and our club members as well as our Keswick Hall supporters and really just welcoming them here to the resort,” says Keswick Hall general manager Rick Butts.
Kids kept busy by participating in holiday workshops, a story time event, and eating plenty of sweet treats.
