Dozens of craft vendors set up shop Saturday to benefit the Charlottesville-Albemarle SPCA.

The fifth annual Holiday Crafts for Critters Fair was held in the Seminole Square Shopping Center.

Several dogs and cats up for adoption at the SCPA complemented the items up for sale.

Organizers say it's a way for people to check out unique crafters in this area and support a charity at the same time.

“There's a lot of great handmade items around the area that some people may not be aware of, and then again it's for the SPCA so it's a great way to also come out and maybe get a pet for the holidays too,” said Crafts for Critters coordinator Heather Gerry.

Space fees from the vendors go directly to the SPCA. There was also a raffle to bring in more funds.

The event has raised more than $1,000 in previous years.
